Perfect Fifth Consulting provides grant writing services to arts and culture, humanities, and education nonprofits. When they came to me to elevate their brand identity, I worked with the firm's leadership to better understand their goals and looked to their core client base for inspiration. Through iteration, we landed on a brand that is approachable, and artistic, just like the company.

Perfect Fifth's brand identity process started by asking questions. A better understanding of the audience and business goals helped me explore design directions through mood boards. After selecting a direction, I was able to develop branding concepts. Below is the winning mood board and logo exploration for different brand ideas.
As a proof of concept, or way to see the brand applied, I created a few different pieces of collateral. I find this is a great way to discover holes in the various concepts and give the client a real-world understanding of how the visual identity will work. Designing business cards, a notebook, and letterhead were the best choices for Perfect Fifth.
